Alan Mathison Turing (Londres, 23 de juny de 1912 — Wilmslow, Cheshire, 7 de juny de 1954) fou un matemàtic, filòsof i criptògraf anglès. Ideà el concepte teòric d'una màquina calculadora universal, que és anomenada màquina de Turing.
