Mark Twain (Florida, Missouri, 30 de novembre de 1835 — Redding, Connecticut, 21 d'abril de 1910), pseudònim de Samuel Langhorne Clemens, fou un escriptor estatunidenc.

  • Millor romandre callat i semblar estúpid que parlar i aclarir tots els dubtes.[8]

Tradicionalment la frase ha estat atribuïda a Abraham Lincoln o Mark Twain, però se'n desconeix exactament l'origen.
